> ADVISORY COUNCIL

The Business Advisory Council has been established by the Chamber to assist South African companies seeking to do business in Canada. The Council will provide the following services to South African businesses and their advisors:

  • initial advice on setting up a business or doing business in Canada;
  • basic information about the regulatory, financial and business environment in Canada;
  • referrals to financial institutions, accountants, lawyers and other consultants; and
  • leads to possible business contacts including customers, suppliers and other industry players.
  • The Chamber does not charge for these services but users must be members of the Chamber.

To access these services, please contact the Chamber's Administrator by telephone, fax, e-mail or mail at the numbers provided in the "Contact" section. A member of the Business Advisory Council will revert to you as soon as possible:

  • Please be as specific as possible in describing the purpose of the inquiry and the information you would like to obtain.
  • Please indicate whether this inquiry is confidential; if so, it will be assigned to one Council member to contact you in confidence.
  • Please provide fax or e-mail contacts for faster response.

This is a volutary service by members of the Chamber and the information and advice provided without charge will be basic in nature. Users should not proceed with any business venture without obtaining further financial, legal and other appropriate professional advice. Chamber members, including those who provide users with the initial services described above, may subsequently provide professional and other services to users provided they inform the user in advance that they will be charging for these services.

Under no circumstances will the Chamber be liable for any losses or damages suffered by any user, whether arising out of the services described above or otherwise.
